Want to know where I've been for four weeks?
I'VE BEEN WRITING! And as much as I've missed posting weekly, it was oh so worth it. In this last month, I've gotten more writing than the entire five months beforehand combined. That's a lot of words written, folks!
As we head toward the end of June, I am happy to report that I am FINALLY nearing the halfway point in this first draft.
THIS IS A BIG DEAL, PEOPLE!
For those of you who don't know, I've been working on this series for the past FIFTEEN YEARS. And I've never gotten past chapter six. (In most versions I didn't make it past Chapter One.) Midpoint is not anywhere close to publication. (There will be a gazillion more drafts, rounds of beta readers and editors...yeah. Long way to go.)
But to be here after all this time - it feels REALLY good! And I cannot wait to get past this point and get that much closer to typing the words "the end".
